2) Get involved! Volunteer at your local SPCA, Humane Society, or other organization that helps animals.
3) If you are sickened by something that is happening, write your member of congress, parliament, etc.
4) If you see someone abusing or being cruel to an animal, either tell them to stop, or call the police.

Our description: We came across ElRefugioTV's videos a while ago. They do a lot of good work in Madrid, Spain. Not only do they raise awareness about some of the cruel acts that take place, they also take steps to actually make sure that the laws that are in place are enforced, and that people who commit acts of cruelty to animals are caught and taken to court. These two videos show two such stories - one about 3 cats that were thrown out of a window, and the other about two cats that were shot at. The cats were rescued, and the perpetrators were apprehended, taken to court, and sentenced. This type of thing really gives us hope, and is another example of how getting involved CAN make a difference.
