2) Get involved! Volunteer at your local SPCA, Humane Society, or other organization that helps animals.
3) If you are sickened by something that is happening, write your member of congress, parliament, etc.
4) If you see someone abusing or being cruel to an animal, either tell them to stop, or call the police.

Our description:Religious and ritual animal sacrifice happens in many countries (and belief systems) all over the world. This particular video shows Halal (Muslim) and Kosher (Jewish) slaughter of animals, which involves killing a cow while it is fully conscious. We believe killing animals is wrong. Period. There are, however, more and less humane ways of killing for meat, and this would have to be placed in the "less humane" category. We at EFFA do not consider "it's part of our religion" as a valid excuse. In our opinion, no religion should tolerate cruelty to animals. See EFFA to find out more.
