2) Get involved! Volunteer at your local SPCA, Humane Society, or other organization that helps animals.
3) If you are sickened by something that is happening, write your member of congress, parliament, etc.
4) If you see someone abusing or being cruel to an animal, either tell them to stop, or call the police.

Our description: Japan has a long tradition of whale meat consumption. Due to environmental concerns, a treaty was drawn up (and signed by Japan) that made hunting whales illegal back in 1986. Sadly, as this video shows, the practice still goes on, mainly because now Japanese boats lie and say that they are whaling for "research" (which makes it seem like they're doing something legal). This video shows anti whaling campaigners trying to get the Japanese to abide by the treaty and to stop whaling.
